Lies, Half Truths and Statistics are not new and media always thrived on that. However, the advent of social media made it much easier to spread misinformation.
However, social media also made it easier for common folks to challenge misinformation. This is my attempt to validate some of the news against publicly available data (yeah, Statistics…). My political inclinations will show through sometimes, but will try not to color the analysis by much
Feel free to get back with additional data or analysis and I will try to incorporate as much as possible.
There are many sources for publicly available data which is used for the analysis, including but not limited to:
- https://www.worlddata.info/ (Inflation rate history)
